“F” RESIDENCE
This single-story, three-bedroom residence was designed for a small family, prioritizing natural ventilation and passive cooling. A key design feature is the integration of jalousie windows throughout the house, enhancing airflow and ensuring a comfortable indoor environment.
Situated on an elevated site in Sibalom, the design takes advantage of the natural topography by optimizing both light and wind circulation. The spatial layout introduces a subtle level change, with a two-step hallway separating the two secondary bedrooms from the master suite, adding depth and dimension to the interior.
An open-plan layout seamlessly connects the living, dining, and kitchen areas, fostering a sense of openness and fluidity. Adjacent to the dining area, a spacious balcony extends the gathering space, intentionally designed to accommodate guests during special events. The master bedroom also features a private balcony, offering a serene retreat for relaxation.
Rooted in tropical and vernacular architecture, the residence harmonizes with its sloping terrain, blending seamlessly with its natural surroundings while providing functional and climate-responsive living spaces.
