For a two-dwelling unit, DOCE Design + Build conceived both a vernacular and a minimalist design strategy. The residential building is primarily distinguished by decorative concrete blocks, serving as a brise-soleil and at the same time providing adequate ventilation, substantial windows that could disperse the natural flow of light and ventilation, open pavers to allow water run-off, and gutter-less roofing in consideration of the site’s lush vegetation.
